The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Categories of library users

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the outcome of survey about the categories of library as well as their satisfaction level in percentage.

Overall, the major users of library are fulltime undergraduates and academic staff were less interested in using library. Also, people are highly satisfied with the helpfulness of staff and shown dissatisfaction to few facilities.

To commence with, 44% of full-time undergraduates use library intensively followed by full-time postgraduates comprises of 25% of overall library user. Part-time postgraduates comprises of 16% users whereas, distance learning and academic staff were least to use library with 8% and 7% respectively.

Coming to tabular data, highly satisfaction was observed in helpfulness of staff with 95% and 0 dissatisfaction. In the library opening hours 65 % people shown very satisfaction and 0 dissatisfaction. 10% of people were dissatisfied with availability of books and 20% were dissatisfied with avalability of journals whereas, 50% and 45% where highly satisfied with availabilty of books and journals.
