Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have successfully identified the main features of the data, such as the highest and lowest user categories and the satisfaction levels for various services. However, the response lacks a clear, professional structure. The overview is somewhat disjointed, and the reporting of data is repetitive and lacks analytical comparison. For instance, instead of simply listing percentages, you should group the data to highlight trends or contrasts. While you covered all parts of the task, the presentation is quite mechanical, which prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on synthesizing the information rather than listing every single data point, and ensure the overview clearly summarizes the most significant trends.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between sentences is often awkward and lacks logical progression. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'also' and 'however' to connect unrelated ideas. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between categories and satisfaction levels. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus. The current structure feels like a list of facts rather than a cohesive report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate to convey the basic meaning, but it is quite repetitive and lacks the precision required for a higher band. Phrases like 'hit the highest percentage' and 'medium members satisfied' are unnatural. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'reliability of wife' (likely a typo for 'Wi-Fi') and 'no one has not satisfied', which is grammatically confusing. To improve, aim for more precise academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'account for', 'constitute', 'the majority of', and 'a significant proportion'. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs will also help improve the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Helpfulness of staff are most satisfied'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures. The attempt at complex sentences is limited, and the punctuation is inconsistent, particularly in the way data is presented. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering simple sentence structures first, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement and article usage, before attempting more complex, compound-complex sentences.
