The pie chart illustrates the proportion of people who uses the university library while, the table shows the satisfaction level of users in various library services.

Overall, Library is mostly used by the full-time undergraduates while, teaching staffs are the minorities. Almost everyone is satisfied with the library staffs and has no complains about the running hours of the library.

44% of the total users are full-time undergraduate constituting the majority of the users while the academic staffs are among the least with just 7% of the total. One fourth of the total users are full-time postgraduates while, 16% are the part-time postgraduates. However, there are 8% distance learners which is just a percent higher than the teaching staffs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in your reporting. For instance, you stated that 'none of the users complain' about library hours, whereas the table shows 0% dissatisfaction, which is a subtle but important distinction. Additionally, you could improve by making more direct comparisons between the categories, such as noting that undergraduates outnumber teaching staff by a factor of six. Overall, the response covers the requirements well, but more precise data handling would elevate the score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs focusing on the chart and table respectively. You use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'Although' to connect ideas. However, the use of punctuation is occasionally problematic, particularly the comma placement before 'while' and 'although'. Some transitions feel slightly mechanical. To reach a higher band, ensure that your linking words flow more naturally within the sentences and avoid unnecessary commas that disrupt the rhythm of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly, using terms like 'proportion,' 'constituting,' and 'reliability.' There are some minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'teaching staffs' (staff is an uncountable noun) and 'complains' (should be 'complain' to agree with the plural subject). You also used 'minorities' in a way that is slightly unnatural in this context. While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, incorporating more precise academic collocations would improve the sophistication of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'people who uses' (should be 'use') and 'available journal are' (should be 'journals are'). Additionally, there are minor errors with articles and pluralization. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band score. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and pluralization will significantly improve your accuracy.
