The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Categories of library users

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of different categories of library users , while table chart represent the result of library user satisfaction between five accepts of the library.

Overall, full time undergraduates accounted for the largest proportion of the library user, whereas , academic staff represented the lowest user of library. In terms of satisfaction , helpfulness staff received the most positive feedback. while , availability of journals recorded the lowest proportion of the very satisfied user.

Full time undergraduates constituted the largest group of library user at 44%. This was the followed by the full time postgraduates, who accounted for the 25% . while part time postgraduates represented at 16%. Distance learning and Academic staff remained the lowest user of the library , at 8% and 7% respectively.

Regarding satisfaction, the helpfulness of staff received the most favourable response, with 95% of users being very satisfied and the remaining 5% fairly satisfied. Opening hours also received positive feedback, with 65% being very satisfied and 35% fairly satisfied. The figures for the availability of books and the reliability of Wi-Fi were relatively similar, with 50% and 48% being very satisfied, respectively. By contrast, the availability of journals had the lowest proportion of very satisfied users, at 45%, while 35% were fairly satisfied and 20% were not satisfied.
