The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given chart illustrates the data of people who access the library at a university and their overall satisfaction in attaining library services such as opening hours, staff helpfulness, availabilty of books and journals and reliabilty of wi-fi network.

Overall, full-time undergraduates are in the maximum proportion who uses the library the most recorded 44%. Full-time postgraduates also contributes in being the second most active user in the library 25% followed by part-time postgraduates 16%. Distance learning and acedamic staff are significantly in the lowest proportion compared to other groups such as 8% and 7%. Three criteria upon deciding the satisfaction levels of the user is very satisfied, fairly satisfied and not satisfied.

In terms of library opening hours 65% users are very satisfied and 35% recorded as fairly satisfied with no dissatisfaction. From the given data we can identify that the library staff is very heplful as 95% users voted very satisfied and 5% were fairly satisfied. Availabilty of books has mixed reactions as 50% users seemed to be very satisfied with it, 40% were fairly satisfied and 10% recorded as not satisfied at all. The other two categories such as availabilty of journals and wi-fi has diverse reactions with none of these exceeding to more than 50% in very satisfied category and fairly satisfied details almost same proportions 35% and 33% respectively. Not satisfied ratio for both categories combined recorded as 20% and 19% respectively.
