Student answer (Band 6.5)
The pie chart provides information about the survey presenting the categories of library users at the university, while table illustrates library users satisfaction in five different areas.
Overall, the pie chart demonstrates the university student are the largest users of the library whereas the academic staff accounts the smallest proportion. In the table, library users are highly satisfied by the helpfulness of the staff, however lack of resources is affecting their experience.
To begin with, full-time undergraduates represent the largest segment of the population, at 44%. Followed by the full-time postgraduate and part-time postgraduate representing 25% and 16%. The distance learning take a small percentage at 8%, identical to academic staff at 7%.
Staff helpfulness received the highest satisfaction, with 95% of respondents being very satisfied. Opening hours were also viewed positively, at 65%. By contrast, books, journals and Wi-Fi received more mixed ratings. Satisfaction with books stood at 50%, compared with 45% for journals and 48% for Wi-Fi, while dissatisfaction was highest for journals at 20%.
