Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task by summarizing some data from the chart and table regarding library users and satisfaction levels. However, the student fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, as the text contains only 146 words. Furthermore, the information reported is incomplete and contains numerous inaccuracies in data interpretation, such as misinterpreting the satisfaction figures ('fairly satisfaction was only five so they are 0 satisfield'). The overview and comparisons are weak and poorly structured, leading to an under-developed response that only partially covers the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The text is divided into rudimentary paragraphs, but the overall organization and logical progression are severely compromised. The student uses basic sequential markers like 'firstly', 'secondly', and 'eventually', but these do not compensate for the lack of a clear, coherent structure. Referencing is frequently unclear, and the transition between the chart data in the first paragraph and the table data in the second paragraph is abrupt and confusing. Paragraphing is not used effectively to separate distinct ideas or visual sources.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The lexical resource is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word choice errors that impede communication. Examples of non-standard vocabulary and spelling mistakes include 'acedimic', 'learing', 'simler', 'opning', 'wonderfull', and 'teachnic'. The student attempts to use some topic-related vocabulary such as 'undergraduate' and 'satisfaction', but the limited range and high frequency of lexical errors restrict the response to a lower band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The student demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences with frequent structural errors. There are multiple punctuation and capitalization errors throughout the text, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('the diagram', 'firstly, the'). Sentences like 'it is a wonderfull teachnic to people are who thinks iam suggest to all peoples are yhi krain i am sure yhis is fantastic idea' are grammatically incoherent, mixing personal commentary with heavily flawed syntax. Frequent grammatical errors cause significant difficulty for the reader.
