Overall, full-time undergraduates made up the largest proportion of library users, whereas academic staff represented the smallest group. In terms of satisfaction, helpfulness of staff received the highest ratings, while the availability of journals had the lowest level of satisfaction.
Full-time undergraduates accounted for 44% of library users, while full-time postgraduates were the second highest group, at 25%. Part-time postgraduates represented 16% of users, whereas distance-learning students made up a further 8%. The remaining 7% were academic staff.
