The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart illustrates about which category students are used a library at a university. While other table shows users satisfaction in 5 different facilities of a library at a university.
Overall, while library is used more by full-time undergraduate stundent, others like academic staff and distance learning students followed the opposite trend. Meanwhile, most of the users were satisfied with helpfulness of staff and least students are not satisfied with availablity of books.
To begin with, 44% of library is used by Full-time undergraduate students which is recorded has highest users percentage compared to other categories. Library is used by Full-time postgraduate students less than Full-time undergraduate with 25%. Although catergories like students of part-time postgraduates, distance learning and academic staff were prefered library very less, there user percentages are 16%, 8%, 7% respectively.
Secondly, students gave their statisfaction about library facilities. Library opening hours are very satisfied by 65% of students and fairly satisfied by 35%. Furthermore, staff helpfulness was very satisfied by 95% and fairy satisfied by 5%. Although, 50% of students are very satisfied about books availablity other 40% and 10% are with fairly satisfied and not satisfied respectively. Moreover, 45% of students are very satisfied with journals availabilty and 20% of them are not satisfied. While 48% of students are very satisfied with reliabilty of wife, other 33% are fairly satisfies and remaining 19% are not satisfied with reliabilty of wife.
