The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie chart illustrates the different categories of library users, while the table provides information about their levels of satisfaction with various aspects of the library.

Overall, full-time undergraduates accounted for by far the largest proportion of library users, while academic staff represented the smallest group. Regarding satisfaction levels, the helpfulness of staff received the most positive response, while journals and Wi-Fi recorded the highest levels of dissatisfaction.

Looking first at the categories of library users, full-time undergraduates accounted for 44%, followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%. In contrast, the proportion of part-time postgraduates was twice as high as that of distance-learning students, at 16% and 8%, respectively. Academic staff accounted for the remaining 7%.

Turning to satisfaction levels, 95% of respondents were very satisfied with the helpfulness of staff, compared with 65% for opening hours. Half of the respondents were very satisfied with the availability of books, while the corresponding figures for Wi-Fi reliability and journal availability were 48% and 45%, respectively. Notably, nobody was dissatisfied with either opening hours or staff helpfulness. By contrast, dissatisfaction was highest for journals, at 20%, closely followed by Wi-Fi at 19%, while only 10% were dissatisfied with the availability of books.
