The pie chart shows the proportions of different groups who use a university library, while the table presents how satisfied users are with five aspects of the service.
Overall, full-time students make up the majority of library users. Satisfaction is highest for staff helpfulness and opening hours, whereas journals and wi-fi attract the most dissatisfaction.
Looking at the pie chart, full-time undergraduates form the largest group at 44%, followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%. Together, these two categories account for just over two-thirds of users. Part-time postgraduates represent 16%, while distance learners and academic staff are the smallest groups, at 8% and 7% respectively.
Turning to the table, staff helpfulness received the most positive response, with 95% of users very satisfied and the remaining 5% fairly satisfied. Opening hours were also well regarded, with 65% very satisfied, 35% fairly satisfied and no one dissatisfied. Opinions on resources were more mixed. Half of respondents were very satisfied with the availability of books, and only 10% were not satisfied. Journals and wi-fi were the weakest areas: 20% were unhappy with journal availability and 19% with wi-fi reliability, and fewer than half were very satisfied with either (45% and 48%).
