The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Categories of library users

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given data shows the information related to the category of library users and their satisfaction regarding some of the services relating to the library. The categories of library user vary from students to acdemic staff including full-time undergradute, postgraduate to part-time postgraduate and distance learning. Moreover, the services ranging from opening hours to avaliability of books and the helpfulness of staff etc.

The full-time undergraduate makes up to 44% of the total user of library. While only 25% of the full-time postgradute students use library. The part-time postgraduate and distance learners make up to 24% of the total users. Moreover, only 7% of the academic staff uses library, according to the coresponding data.

About the services, the 65% people are satisfied with the library opening hours, while 35 are fairly satisfied. According to 95%, the staff is very helpful while only 5% thinks staff is fairly helpful. Regarding availability of books, the students are disputed on the matter. 50% is of the thought that all types of books are avaliable in the library while 40% thinks that only a limited books are available while 10% does not staisfied with the availability. Moreover, regarding journals 45% are very satisfied while 35% are fairly satisfied while 20% are not satisfied with the availability of journals. Regarding the wifi, according to 48% the wifi is reliable while 33% thinks its fairly available while 19% are not satisfied.

Overall, the users of the library fall under different category ranging from students to academic staff while regarding the services the opinion varied from very satisfied to not satisfied accordingly among users.
