The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The following chart and table illustrate the results of a survey conducted on library users at a university. The pie chart explains and gives insight on the categories of library users, while, the chart showcases library user satisfaction.

Overall, Full-time undergraduate students make up the highest proportion of library users. The users are very satisfied with he helpfulness of the staff.

To begin with, the chart shows that academic staff like teachers or professors are in the minority, consisting only about 7 percent of all library users. Furthermore, distance learning students also make up about 8 percent of users, a slight increase from academic users. Part-time graduates consist of 16 percent of library users, double the number distance learning students. Full-time postgraduates have the 2nd highest majority after full-time undergraduates housing a quarter of all library users, while full-time undergraduates have the largest proportion at around 44 percent.

Secondly, The table below the pie chart, showcases library user satisfaction. It shows that most people are very satisfied with the library opening hours, with 35 percent of users being fairly satisfied.

Moreover, The students are most satisfied with the helpfulness of staff with almost everyone giving positive feedback. The availability of books and journals still satisfies most library users, but, some users are not satisfied with it, 10 and 20 percent of people are not satisfied.

In addition, the availability of wifi is also an issue, as some users experience delays and are not satisfied.
