The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The Table represents the output of a survey that was done on library users at a university. Additionally, a pie chart shows the different type of users using the library.

Overall, the pie chart has five portions, among them a huge proportion is occupied by full-time undergraduate student. In contrast, academic staff covers the smallest portion of the chart, Moreover, the table gives the idea of users satisfaction level across five categories, where most can be seen to be reletively satisfied.

Full-time undergraduates are the largest crowd, followed by full-time postgraduates who takes about a quartor of the total users. Part-time postgraduates come at third place with around 16%, followed by distance learners with only 8%.

The users gave rating in five categories with only three satisfactory levels, one of them being "Not satisfied". However, everyone seems to be satisfied with the opening hours and the co-operations of the staff, among them 65% and 95% respectively are very satisfied. A noticable proportion, which is around one-fifth of the users is unsatisfied with the availability of the journals. Furthermore, 10% are not satisfied with the books collection either. Moreover, the reliability of the wifi seems to have 19% of them unsatisfied, in contrast to nearly the half of the users being very satisfied.

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating less common items such as 'proportion', 'dominance', 'satisfaction level', and 'reliability'. There are attempts to vary descriptive language when discussing percentages, such as 'largest crowd', 'quartor', and 'noticable proportion'. However, there are some noticeable spelling and word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'reletively' instead of 'relatively', 'quartor' instead of 'quarter', 'co-operations' instead of 'cooperation' or 'helpfulness', and 'noticable' instead of 'noticeable'. These errors do not impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
