The pie chart and table illustrate the findings of a survey conducted on the library users at a university.
Overall, the pie chart is categorised in five types of library users, among which almost half of the users are undergraduate students. In contrast, the table shows the satisfaction level of the library users based on five points.
Almost majority (44%) of the library users are the full time undergraduate students, whereas 25% and 16% of the total users are the full time postgraduate students and part time postgraduate learners respectively. The library is also used by some distanced learners for all courses and the proportion is 8% for this purpose. The academic staff are the least users of the library, accounting for 7%.
The table indicates that majority of the library users are highly convinced (95%) with the helpfulness of staff, while no one is dissatisfied about it. In addition, 65% are very satisfied with the library opening hours, but 35% are fairly satisfied with it. Half of the users are very happy about the availability of the books, whereas 40% are fairly satisfied and 10% are not pleased at all. Regarding the availability of the journals and dependency on wifi, the proportion is almost consistent, ranging between 45% and 48% for the highly satisfactory level, 33% and 35% for the mid satisfactory stage and lastly 19% and 20% for the dissatisfactory level.
