The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The two data illustrates the survey of library users at an educational institution. The chart shows the categories of individuals using the library, whereas the table shows the user's satisfaction in terms of library services.

Looking first at the pie chart, the largest group who uses the library are the full-time students of the university. 44% of these group came from undergraduates and 25% came from postgraduate students. Part time students take the next largest portion (16%), while the lowest portion who uses the library came from distance learners from all courses and academic staff at 8% and 7% respectively.

In terms of user satisfaction, most users are very satisfied with the services by the library. Users were very satisfied with the helpfulness of staff and opening hours. 95% were very satisfied with the helpfullness of the staff while 5% feels fairly satisfied. 65% were satisfied by the opening hours while nearly half were fairly satisfied. However, when it comes to reliability of wifi and availability of books and journals, there are some users who are not satisfied. But overall, most users were satisfied by these services.
