Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student covers all parts of the task by reporting the main features of both the pie chart and the table, and makes relevant comparisons. The overview captures the dominant user categories and general satisfaction trends well. However, the response trails off abruptly at the end ("However,..."), leaving the final point incomplete, and there are some minor inaccuracies in reporting data details (for instance, misinterpreting the table figures in the final paragraph). Despite these minor flaws, the key information is presented, earning a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement with logical paragraphing, beginning with an introduction, an overview, and separate body paragraphs for the chart and the table. Cohesive devices such as "Overall", "Firstly", "In contrast", and "Secondly" are employed to structure the text, though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or are awkwardly phrased. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of completion at the very end disrupts the progression. Overall, cohesion is sufficient for a Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting some less common items such as "constituted", "accessibility", and "dissatisfaction". However, there are noticeable word choice and spelling errors, such as "satisfed" instead of satisfied, "saldom" instead of seldom, and "three-forth" instead of three-quarters. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including relative clauses and comparative forms. There are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings throughout the text, such as "compares number of people's satisfaction over library usage" and "accounting 44%" (missing "for"), as well as preposition errors like "satisfied from". However, the meaning remains mostly clear, and simple sentences are generally accurate, placing the writing firmly at Band 6.0.
