Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The student attempts to address both parts of the prompt by describing the categories of library users and the satisfaction survey results. However, the response contains several inaccurate interpretations of the data. For instance, the writer claims that graduate students are 'still using library after completing their studies', which is a misinterpretation of the category 'Full-time postgraduate'. Furthermore, the details regarding satisfaction percentages contain inaccuracies and generalizations, such as stating that 'almost half of the students are not satisfied' with Wi-Fi speed when the table shows only 19 percent were not satisfied. While main features are mentioned, the lack of precision and inaccurate data reporting limit the task achievement to a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response lacks clear paragraphing, presented mostly as a dense block of text, which significantly hinders readability and logical progression. Cohesive devices are weak and repetitive, relying heavily on phrases like 'Their is almost' and 'and their is'. The overall organization feels disjointed because the transition from the chart data to the table data is abrupt, and relationships between ideas are not always clearly signposted. While there is a basic progression from the chart to the table, the faulty referencing and absence of effective paragraph breaks restrict the score to a Band 4.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing terms like 'library', 'students', 'satisfied', and 'using'. There are noticeable limitations in lexical range, and several word choice errors occur, such as 'staff help level is also very helpfull towards the students with almost high numbers og of students are satisfied' and 'satidfied'. Less common vocabulary is attempted with limited success, and spelling mistakes ('their' instead of 'there', 'og' instead of 'of', 'satidfied') are present throughout the text. These factors place the lexical resource at a Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of simple and attempted complex sentences that frequently contain errors. There are persistent structural issues, notably the incorrect use of existential 'their is' instead of 'there is' throughout the response. Punctuation and capitalization are poorly controlled, with many sentences running together without proper terminal punctuation or starting with lowercase letters. Grammatical errors are frequent and often cause strain for the reader, such as in the sentence 'the students who uses library regularly', demonstrating a lack of subject-verb agreement. This corresponds to a Band 4.0.
