Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by presenting an overview of the pie chart and the table, selecting main features such as the dominance of full-time undergraduates at 44% and the high satisfaction levels for staff helpfulness at 95%. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack precision. For instance, the grouping of postgraduate students is somewhat convolutedly expressed as 'full-time psotgraduate and part-time psotgraduates both together are the second catagorie contributing 41% usres', and the reporting of the survey data contains minor inaccuracies or omissions in covering all table categories comprehensively. To move to a higher band, the response would need to extend and support all selected data points with greater clarity and fully balanced coverage without leaving key figures vague or slightly misreported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to organise information into paragraphs separating the chart data from the table data. However, cohesion is often mechanical and sometimes faulty. Transitional phrases like 'Now talking about the satisfaction of library usres' sound overly conversational and inappropriate for an academic report. Furthermore, referencing and logical progression within sentences occasionally break down, such as in the awkward clause 'which that they are very helpfull about 95% of usres agree with it'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion could be significantly improved by using a smoother variety of cohesive devices to link ideas logically without repeating basic transitional formulas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but the range is limited, and there are numerous spelling and word choice errors throughout the text. Examples include 'statisfaction', 'categorie', 'psotgraduate', 'catagorie', 'past-time', 'unsatisfy', and 'avaliability'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to restrict the score to the current level. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'contributing', 'reliability', and 'availability', but struggles with accurate word forms and spelling. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their lexical repertoire and demonstrate greater accuracy in spelling, word formation, and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are several errors in verb forms and tense usage, such as 'the table track', 'Full-time undergraduate was useing', and 'only providing 7% of usres'. Punctuation and article usage are also problematic, illustrated in sentences like 'the worst thing with many unsatisfy usres are the avaliability of journals and reliability of wifi both have almost the same unsatisfy usres sitting at 20%,' which results in run-on structures. These errors occur regularly and can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, though communication is generally maintained. A wider variety of error-free complex sentences and better control over grammatical agreements are required to improve.
