Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by presenting an overview of the library user categories and reporting the main satisfaction data from the table. You select key features, such as the dominance of full-time undergraduate students at 44% and the high satisfaction levels for staff helpfulness at 95%. However, some parts of your response are slightly unevenly developed; for instance, you repeat similar points about satisfaction across multiple paragraphs rather than seamlessly synthesizing the information. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that data points are fully integrated without redundant phrasing, providing a more streamlined and comprehensive summary of the visual information while maintaining clear comparative statements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your essay presents a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to group information logically into an introduction, user breakdown, and satisfaction overview. However, the organization suffers from noticeable repetition, as you introduce the satisfaction data in the second paragraph and then repeat and expand upon it in the final paragraph without clear progressive development. Paragraphing could be managed more effectively to separate distinct visual elements cleanly. Additionally, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or underused, leading to a choppy flow between sentences. To improve, you need to ensure a clear logical progression throughout the text, using referencing and conjunctions more flexibly to connect ideas smoothly without doubling back on previously stated points.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and specific academic terms such as 'undergraduate', 'postgraduate', and 'satisfaction'. However, there are noticeable word-choice inaccuracies and typographical slips throughout your writing, such as 'of whoch' instead of 'of which', 'amd' instead of 'and', and awkward phrasing like 'making in one of the most prominent feature'. While these vocabulary and spelling errors do not seriously impede communication, they hold your lexical score back. To achieve a higher band, you should expand your control of less common lexical items and refine your spelling and collocations to ensure greater precision and naturalness in academic reporting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ability to handle relative clauses and statistical breakdowns. However, your writing contains persistent errors in grammar, articles, and prepositions, such as 'The majority of user at the library' (missing plural and article errors), 'satisfaction of user' (missing article), and 'operating hours of library' (missing article). Furthermore, attempts at complex structures occasionally lead to awkward or faulty phrasing. These errors are typical of the mid-band range, where a mixture of correct and incorrect structures is evident. To progress, you need to exercise greater control over grammatical agreements, singular and plural forms, and article usage to increase the proportion of error-free sentences.
