Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both parts of the visual and identify the largest user group correctly: full-time undergraduates at 44%, followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%. You also report several satisfaction figures accurately, including staff helpfulness at 95% and opening hours at 65%. The overview, however, is unclear: “use library items most of the time for the study” does not accurately summarise the user-category chart, which shows proportions of users rather than frequency of use. The satisfaction overview is also too broad, and the final comparison omits the fairly satisfied figures and the wi-fi satisfaction results. In addition, the non-satisfaction figures are listed without clearly matching each value to its category. Select the main contrasts and report them with precise labels.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph about user categories and a paragraph about satisfaction. This gives the reader a basic progression through the two visuals. Some linking is effective, such as “Meanwhile,” “To begin with” and “In contrast,” and the user percentages are presented in a sensible order. However, transitions sometimes feel mechanical or do not express the relationship clearly. “On the other side” is an awkward shift, while “Although” introduces a fragment rather than a complete contrast. The sentence beginning “Which is followed by” is also disconnected from the preceding sentence. Improve cohesion by joining related comparisons into complete sentences and using clear references to the specific chart or satisfaction category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “accounted for,” “satisfaction levels” and “respectively,” and the reader can generally identify the intended topic. However, the range and precision are limited, with repeated use of “use” and “satisfaction” and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions. “Library items” does not describe the user categories, and “provide most satisfaction with the staff help” is not a natural way to report the result. Spelling errors such as “liberary,” “acedemic” and “satiscation” are noticeable, while “simultaneously” is not the right substitute for “respectively.” Aim for accurate chart language such as “accounted for,” “reported satisfaction” and “the proportion of users,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex structures, including “Although…” and clauses introduced by “which,” but these are not consistently controlled. For example, “Which is followed by part time postgraduate” is a sentence fragment, and “Although, distance learners and acedemic workers least in the percentages…” lacks a main verb. The overview sentence “full time bachelor's and full time master students use liberary items most of the time” also has an unclear grammatical relationship between the subjects and the claim. There are problems with articles, plurals and sentence construction, as in “satisfaction of liberary users” and “10,20,19 percents people.” Use complete subject–verb sentences, check singular and plural forms, and punctuate introductory clauses correctly. More accurate simple comparisons would help establish control before adding complex clauses.
