Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given pie chart illusrtates the percentages of different library customers and additionally, a table illustrates the satisfaction of users according to the services offered by the library.

Overall, the regular pregraduate students have the highest representation in the library, and the teaching staff have the lowest. Moreover, people were completely satisfied about the library schedule and least satisfied about the internet services.

The full-time undergraduate students occupy the major portion of the chart at 44%, followed by the regular postgraduate students at 25%. The part-time undergraduate students have the third highest percentage in the chart at 16%. Academic staff and the distance learners occupy almost similar portion of the chart at 7% and 8%, respectively.

None of the library member is dissatisfied about the library hours and same kind of response is shown by the users about services of the staff at 100 percent satisfacton. The reviews about the books availability are also good, 50 percent of the poeple are very satisfied and 40% of them fairly satisfied, merely 10 % not being satisfied. Two services that have the lowest satisfaction are availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi, both showing one fifth of the users were not satisfied.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both visuals and provide a clear overview: undergraduates form the largest user group, while academic staff are the smallest, and satisfaction is strongest for staff helpfulness and opening hours. Most figures are accurately reported. However, some details are misidentified: the 16% group is part-time postgraduate students, not “part-time undergraduate students,” and the 25% group is full-time postgraduate students, rather than “regular postgraduate students.” The overview also says users were “completely satisfied” with the schedule, although 35% were fairly satisfied, not very satisfied. Your account of journals and wi-fi is relevant but could compare their satisfaction levels more precisely. This addresses the task well, with some features less fully or accurately developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, a summary of the main patterns, and separate paragraphs for the user categories and satisfaction results. Sequencing within these sections is generally logical, and linking phrases such as “followed by,” “Moreover,” and “Additionally” help guide the reader. Some connections are less precise, however. The overview’s claim of complete satisfaction with opening hours conflicts with the later, more accurate breakdown, and “Two services that have the lowest satisfaction” groups journals and wi-fi without explaining their different results. A few transitions and references feel mechanical or unclear. To strengthen progression, make the overview consistent with the figures and use direct comparisons to connect related satisfaction results.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “representation,” “occupy,” “dissatisfied,” and “availability,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the major portion of the chart.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “regular pregraduate students” does not clearly describe full-time undergraduates, “library customers” is less suitable than “users,” and “satisfaction about” is an awkward collocation. “Completely satisfied” also overstates the data. Spelling slips such as “illusrtates,” “satisfacton,” and “poeple” reduce accuracy. Aim for precise labels taken from the chart and natural collocations, and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the compound introduction and the sentence beginning “The reviews about the books availability…”. Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. In “None of the library member is dissatisfied,” the plural noun and verb agreement need attention; “same kind of response is shown” also needs an article or a clearer construction. The phrase “50 percent of the people are very satisfied and 40% of them fairly satisfied” omits a verb in the second clause. There are also awkward sentence patterns in “merely 10% not being satisfied.” Practise accurate agreement, articles, and parallel clauses, while retaining your attempts at varied sentence structures.
