Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main user group correctly: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, and you report the other user categories as well. You also note that staff helpfulness receives strong satisfaction and that journals and Wi-Fi have similar results. However, the overview is unclear and some comparisons are inaccurate or incomplete. The table shows opening hours at 65% very satisfied and books at 50%, but your sentence reverses these figures. You also describe the remaining categories as “not satisfied” without giving their values consistently, and omit the notable 95% very satisfied result for staff helpfulness. A clearer overview and more accurate selection of key table figures would make the summary more complete and better supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the visuals, discusses the pie chart, and then turns to the satisfaction table. This gives the reader some sense of the task’s two parts. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs, and several sentences combine figures or comparisons in a confusing way. For example, “Availability of journals and Reliability of wifi have almost same user in given three categories” does not specify which satisfaction levels are being compared. Linking words such as “However” and “while” are used, but the relationships they signal are not always logical or clear. Organise the response into a concise overview followed by separate, logically ordered descriptions of the chart and table, and use clearer references to each category.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “category,” “satisfaction,” “availability,” and “percentage,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning awkward, such as “significant roll,” “satisfying user,” and “number of satisfaction user.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “illustrat,” “respectly,” and “ise,” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise reporting language and use consistent terms such as “users,” “very satisfied,” and “accounted for.” Check spelling and collocations carefully; this would make your descriptions more natural and help readers understand the comparisons without having to infer your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to report several comparisons and use some longer sentence patterns, but control is inconsistent and errors often make the relationships between figures difficult to follow. Examples include “full time undergraduate play significant roll” and “Availability of journals and Reliability of wifi have almost same user,” where agreement and sentence construction are faulty. Articles and plural forms are also frequently missing or inconsistent, as in “the category of library users” and “satisfaction user.” Punctuation is weak: sentences begin with lowercase letters, and figures are joined to preceding text without spaces or clear sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related comparisons with controlled clauses and consistent punctuation.
