Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify relevant features, including the dominance of full-time undergraduates and the high satisfaction with staff helpfulness, and you also note that journals and Wi-Fi attract more dissatisfaction. However, the response does not clearly summarise both visuals: it gives no overview of the main satisfaction pattern and reports few precise figures. Some comparisons are vague or inaccurate; for example, distance learners (8%) and academic staff (7%) are close, but saying they are “almost on same numbers” needs clearer support. The claim that full-time students outnumber all other groups is broadly supported, but the distinction between undergraduate and postgraduate users is not explained. To strengthen the response, select the key contrasts and support them with accurate percentages, including the 95% very satisfied with staff helpfulness and the 20% not satisfied with journals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some grouping of related information: the response first discusses user categories and then turns to satisfaction, which gives it a basic overall structure. However, progression within these sections is not consistently clear, and there is no distinct overview to guide the reader through the main findings. Linking phrases such as “on the other hand,” “but,” and “as well” are used, but some connections are awkward or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. The sentence beginning “About staff helpfulness” moves rapidly between staff, journals, Wi-Fi, and books, making the comparisons difficult to follow. Organise the response into a clear introduction, overview, and two detail paragraphs, and use explicit comparisons to connect the figures.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response attempts task-related vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduates,” “postgraduates,” “satisfaction level,” and “availability of journals.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “univerity,” “pupiles,” “libaray,” and “Reliabilty.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “their number is weak” and “takes advantage of library” do not communicate the intended comparisons effectively. Use standard terms such as “users” or “students,” and choose precise reporting language such as “accounted for” or “recorded.” Careful proofreading and learning common chart-description collocations would make the vocabulary more accurate and appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas harder to understand. For example, “There are high number of puples” is missing an article, while “Academic staff is not frequently takes advantage” combines incompatible verb forms and has unclear agreement. The sentence “Distance learning of all courses and Academic staff they both are almost on same numbers” has faulty word order and an unnecessary pronoun. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, particularly in the final section, where several ideas run together. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and articles, and build longer sentences from a clear main clause with correctly joined supporting information.
