Student answer (Band 5.5)

the pie chart and tabular chart illustrate the imformation in term of numbers and percentile.about outcome of study of library members at the education center

on analaysing the data it can be clearly seen that there are 5 various types of library members firstly highest member are accounted as 44percent of full time undergraduates learners on the other hand full time post graduates are accounted as 25 percent whereas past time post graduates are vale of 16 percent which is double of distance learning in contrast least member of library are academic staff around 7 percent

moving further to tabular chart it became lucid that there are numerous facilities for satisfaction of the users firstly fairly satisfied user of library opening hours and availability of journals are similar vale of 35 members whereas users are very satisfied with helpfullness of staf with highest value around 95 members besides users not satisfied with availaibility of journals and realiability of wifi have mere difference of 1 member apart from this 50 members are very satisfied with availability of books which inclined to 65 member very satisfied for library openng hours

hence it became evident that fulltime graduate learners use library facilities more then others where as members are very satisfied with helpfullness of staff with highest number of members

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both visuals and identify several important features, including the largest user group (full-time undergraduates, 44%), the smallest (academic staff, 7%), and the high satisfaction with staff helpfulness (95%). You also make relevant comparisons, such as the equal 35% fairly satisfied figures for opening hours and journals. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: “past time post graduates” is described as double distance learners, although 16% is twice 8%, and the table reports percentages rather than numbers of members. The overview’s claim that full-time graduate learners use the facilities most is also imprecise, since undergraduates are the largest group. A clearer summary of the overall satisfaction pattern, supported by accurate units and comparisons, would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: it first discusses the user categories, then the satisfaction table, and ends with a concluding statement. Sequencing phrases such as “moving further” and “hence” help signal progression. However, the organisation within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several comparisons are packed into long sentences, and the final summary repeats points rather than synthesising the main findings. Linking expressions such as “on the other hand,” “whereas,” and “besides” are sometimes used mechanically or do not clearly express the relationship between the figures. Separate the key comparisons into shorter, logically ordered sentences and use references such as “this proportion” only when their meaning is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “accounted,” “whereas,” “satisfaction,” and “reliability,” and the reader can generally identify the intended topics. However, spelling and word-choice problems are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “imformation,” “analaysing,” “vale,” and “helpfullness” are examples. Several expressions are also unnatural for describing survey data, such as “members are accounted as 44 percent” and “inclined to 65 member.” Use standard chart language and accurate collocations, for example, “accounted for 44%,” “stood at 65%,” and “respondents were very satisfied.” Check spelling carefully and avoid using “members” where the figures represent percentages.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including comparisons with “whereas” and “which,” and the main message is usually recoverable. However, sentence boundaries and grammatical control are inconsistent. The opening is a fragment, while the long sentence beginning “on analaysing the data” contains several clauses without clear punctuation. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “highest member are accounted” and “it became evident that fulltime graduate learners use.” Use a clear subject and verb in each sentence, check singular and plural agreement, and punctuate clauses so comparisons do not run together. More controlled complex sentences would improve clarity.
