Student answer (Band 5.5)
The graph and illustration underneath provides the answers of a library questionnaire at a college.
Overall, this whole survey provides the details of the people who uses library as well as how satisfied they are with the services provided by the library.
In the library users, the huge chunk was of full-time undergraduate students, with full-time postgraduate students then, part-time postgraduate students, then distance learners and then academic staff respectively. When it comes to on what basis users are asked about their satisfaction it was based on helpfulness of staff, library opening hours, availability of books, reliability of wi-fi, and availabilty of journals they were ranked on the way i've provided the list of names.
When it comes to the library users category, full-time undergraduate students were 44% contributing the highest, full-time postgraduate students being second on the list with 25%, part-time postgraduate students with 16% users, then comes distance learners and academic staff with approximately same statistics of 7% to 8% users.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both parts of the visual: the user categories and satisfaction ratings, and you identify the largest group as full-time undergraduates (44%) and the smallest as academic staff (7%). The overview also recognises that helpfulness of staff and opening hours received strong satisfaction. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: staff helpfulness was 95% very satisfied, not 90%, and distance learners were 8% while academic staff were 7%, rather than having “approximately same statistics.” The overview lists the satisfaction topics but does not clearly summarise the overall pattern, such as the contrast between high ratings for staff and opening hours and lower ratings for journals and wi-fi. You mention the latter figures but omit their fairly and not-satisfied proportions, so some features are less fully reported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the user categories and then satisfaction results. This gives the reader a broad route through the information. However, progression is weakened by long, crowded sentences and unclear links between points. For example, the overview’s list of satisfaction topics ends with “they were ranked on the way i've provided the list of names,” which does not explain a meaningful ranking. The repeated openings “When it comes to” also make the linking mechanical, while “Although” at the start of the final paragraph does not introduce a clear contrast. Separate the overview from the detailed comparisons, group related figures, and use precise links such as “By contrast” or “Regarding satisfaction” to make relationships clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing the charts, including “full-time undergraduate students,” “contributing the highest,” and “fairly satisfied,” so the main subject is generally understandable. There is also some attempt to vary wording, such as “huge chunk” and “second on the list.” However, several choices are informal or imprecise for an academic report: “huge chunk,” “answers of a library questionnaire,” and “on what basis users are asked” do not describe the data naturally. “Most number of satisfaction” is also an awkward collocation, and “statisifaction” and “availabilty” contain spelling errors. Prefer neutral reporting language such as “accounted for,” “survey responses,” and “the highest proportion of very satisfied users,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the reader can usually understand the comparisons. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, sentence construction, and punctuation. For example, “the graph and illustration … provides” has a plural subject requiring “provide,” while “the people who uses library” needs “use” and an article before “the library.” The sentence beginning “In the library users” is an incomplete and awkwardly formed construction, and “Library open hours was” has a plural subject with a singular verb. Commas and spacing are also inconsistent, as in “Overall, this” and the run-on overview sentence. Build shorter, complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries; this will make your varied structures more controlled.
