Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify several important features accurately: full-time undergraduates are the largest user group at 44%, academic staff are the smallest at 7%, and staff helpfulness has the highest very-satisfied figure at 95%. You also note that opening hours received 65% very satisfied and no dissatisfied responses. These points show relevant coverage of both visuals. However, the overview is difficult to interpret, and some comparisons are only partly reported: for example, you call journal availability the lowest without specifying that its 20% dissatisfied figure is the highest dissatisfaction rate. The satisfaction table is covered selectively, with books, journals and wi-fi not clearly compared across all response categories. A clearer overview and more precise reporting of these less-developed features would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, gives an overview, and then moves to user categories and satisfaction results. This provides a basic framework for the information. However, progression within paragraphs is weak, and several ideas are joined in long, confusing sentences. The overview sentence beginning “Overall, it ia clear” combines user-group rankings with satisfaction findings without a clear transition. Connectors such as “while,” “although” and “however” are repeated or used where the relationship between ideas is unclear. The final paragraph also ends abruptly after discussing staff helpfulness. Group the user categories together, then summarise the main satisfaction contrasts, using shorter sentences and clearer links between comparisons.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt task-related vocabulary, including “categories,” “proportion,” “satisfaction,” “availability” and “reliability,” so the response shows some awareness of the language needed for describing charts. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning hard to follow. Phrases such as “the heifght percantage,” “the second height,” “had a height percentage” and “in the period of show” are not natural ways to describe proportions or rankings. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “unsers,” “helfulness” and “beggining.” Use standard chart language consistently—for example, “accounted for,” “the largest share,” and “the highest proportion”—and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You make some attempts at complex sentences, particularly through clauses introduced by “while,” “although” and “however.” This gives the response more than a sequence of simple statements. However, sentence structures are often difficult to control, and errors in agreement, articles and clause construction obscure meaning. For instance, “The pie charts illustrate the survey of library user at a university result” does not form a clear grammatical sentence, while “full time undergraduate is the heifght percantage” has problems with number and sentence structure. The long sentence beginning “Overall” also joins several claims without clear punctuation or grammatical links. Practise writing one accurate comparison per sentence, checking singular and plural forms, and using full stops to separate complete ideas.
