Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main user group and the smallest group, and your overview also highlights staff helpfulness and the weaker satisfaction with journals. The figures for the user categories are reported accurately, and the comparison between opening hours and helpfulness is relevant. This gives the response a clear account of both visuals. However, the overview says full-time graduates are the largest group, whereas the chart’s largest category is full-time undergraduates; this is an important misreading. The claim that all users were satisfied with opening hours is supported, but the satisfaction results for books and wi-fi receive little attention. To strengthen the response, check category labels carefully and include a concise comparison of the remaining satisfaction results, especially the relatively high dissatisfaction with journals and wi-fi.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a final paragraph on satisfaction. This makes the two visuals easy to distinguish, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Moreover” and “However” help signal relationships. The progression is generally logical, though some connections are imprecise. For example, “there is 100% ratio in satisfy” does not clearly explain that the combined very and fairly satisfied figures total 100% for two separate aspects. The final paragraph also moves between opening hours, journals, wi-fi and helpfulness without fully comparing the satisfaction patterns. Use clearer references and organise the table details around the strongest and weakest results to make the progression more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-appropriate terms, including “proportion,” “very satisfied,” “fairly satisfied” and “not satisfied,” and the reader can generally understand the intended comparisons. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable throughout, including “illustartes,” “stisfaction,” “liberary” and “disstance.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “the bigger praportion,” “one fourth part” and “number of most satisfied.” These issues limit the range and sometimes make the meaning less immediate, even though the topic remains understandable. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language and check spelling carefully. For example, use “largest share,” “one quarter” and “the highest proportion of users were very satisfied.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex forms, including the overview clause beginning “although” and the sentence comparing journals and wi-fi. The paragraphing also helps separate the main points. However, some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. Examples include “The pie chart an table illustrates,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “Full-time undergraduate users were accounted for,” where the passive construction is not formed naturally. In “Full-time postgradute,” the sentence lacks a clear verb, while “journals and reliability of wifi has” has a plural subject with a singular verb. Work on articles, agreement, complete sentence structure and consistent use of singular or plural forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make your comparisons easier to follow.
