Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You cover both visuals and report the main figures accurately, including the largest user group (full-time undergraduates, 44%), the smallest (academic staff, 7%), and the satisfaction results for all five services. Your overview also identifies staff helpfulness as especially positive and Wi-Fi reliability as comparatively less positive. This gives the response a clear summary of the key patterns, with relevant supporting data. Some comparisons could be more precise: for example, Wi-Fi is not the least positively rated in every sense, since journals have the lowest very-satisfied share (45%) and the highest not-satisfied share (20%). Also, describing undergraduates as using the library “more frequently” goes beyond what the chart measures; it shows their share of users, not frequency of use. Keep interpretations strictly tied to the data.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by the user categories and then the satisfaction figures. Paragraphing helps distinguish the two visuals, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In detail,” and “On the other hand” make the progression easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “After” does not clearly show the relationship between the user groups, while “However” introduces the final figures without a real contrast. The overview also combines two separate observations in a sentence that is difficult to follow. Use more precise transitions and organise the satisfaction results into clearer comparisons, such as grouping the strongest ratings separately from the weaker ones.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “classification,” “proportion,” “satisfaction level,” and “reliability,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision. “Much satisfied” is not a natural collocation; use “very satisfied.” “Occurs 44%” is unsuitable for describing a chart figure, and “the same” is vague when referring to opening hours. The phrase “using library more frequently” also implies a measure that the chart does not provide. Aim for standard reporting language such as “accounted for,” “recorded,” and “the proportion of users,” and check that each word expresses the intended relationship.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the main figures remain understandable. However, grammatical control is uneven, particularly in sentence structure, agreement, and articles. For example, “This pie graph and table … illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “the classification of library user in full-time undergraduate are greater” contains several problems that obscure the comparison. The fragment-like construction “95% Helpfulness of staff are very satisfied” also needs a clear subject, such as “95% of users were very satisfied with the helpfulness of staff.” Review articles and plural forms, and build complete sentences around each percentage. More accurate control of these basic patterns would make your complex attempts clearer.
