The pie chart illustrates the five different categories of library users who used the university library for academic purposes, while the table chart provides data about their satisfaction levels regarding the facilities in library which is collected in three categories : very satisfied, fairly satisfied and not satisfied.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You cover both visuals and give a clear overview: undergraduates form the largest user group, academic staff the smallest, and staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction ratings. The figures reported are generally accurate, including the user-group proportions and all five satisfaction rows. This supports a clear, relevant summary with key comparisons. However, the overview’s claim that “only 10 students” are dissatisfied with books is imprecise: the table reports 10% of respondents, not a number of students. The overview could also identify the broader contrast that dissatisfaction is highest for journals, while opening hours and staff helpfulness have none. These selective comparisons would make the main features more fully developed and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response is organised in a clear sequence: an introduction, an overview, then a paragraph for each visual. The progression from the pie chart to the table is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Beginning with” and “Lastly” help guide the reader. This is a logical structure with relevant information grouped appropriately. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, because several table details are introduced with repeated transitions such as “Turning to” and “Moving to.” The phrase “table chart” is also repeated rather than using a consistent, natural reference such as “the table.” More concise grouping of the satisfaction results—for example, contrasting the two categories with no dissatisfaction against journals and wi-fi—would make the cohesion more flexible.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.5

You use enough topic-specific vocabulary to describe the visuals, including “proportion,” “dissatisfaction,” “availability,” and “reliability,” and the meaning is generally clear. There is some useful variation in describing the data, such as “recorded the highest proportion” and “received 50% very satisfied rating.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “table chart,” “students are highly satisfied from,” and “holds has 45%.” There are also spelling and form slips, notably “contribued,” “wifi,” and “graduate” where the category is postgraduate. At this level, the range is adequate and includes some attempts at more formal wording, but more precise collocations and careful proofreading are needed for greater flexibility and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can follow the comparisons throughout. Some structures are handled effectively, such as “which makes it on the top,” although the wording itself is not natural. There are some grammatical errors that rarely obscure the intended meaning. For example, “the academic staff has the lowest” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “65% people who are very satisfied” is missing a grammatical link such as “of respondents are.” The opening sentence also becomes difficult to control because several clauses are joined together, and punctuation around the category list is inconsistent. Aim for complete, well-formed sentences and check articles, agreement, and clause structure while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
