Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main user group accurately: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%, and you note the high satisfaction with staff. The overview also recognises that academic staff and distance learners form small groups. However, the figures for these two groups are reversed: academic staff are 7% and distance learners 8%. The report covers both visuals, but the satisfaction summary is selective: it mentions opening hours, staff, journals and Wi-Fi while omitting the notable book ratings, including 10% not satisfied. Some descriptions are also imprecise, such as saying users were “highly satisfied” without distinguishing the table’s categories. More complete and precise coverage of the key comparisons would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, then details about user categories and satisfaction. This makes the information reasonably easy to follow, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” signal movement between points. However, the progression within the details is somewhat uneven: the user-category figures are repeated after the overview, while the satisfaction data are presented as a sequence of separate facts rather than grouped into meaningful comparisons. The phrase “talking about the satisfaction level” is an awkward transition, and the final two satisfaction points run together without a space after the full stop. Grouping related ratings and using clearer references would make the organisation more fluent and less list-like.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “satisfaction level,” “availability,” and “reliability,” so the topic is generally clear. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions limit the range and control: “moslty,” “helpfull,” “satifaction,” “satified,” “perecnt,” and “avialability” are noticeable, while “students enrolled in distant learning subjects” is not a natural description of the category. “Friendly and helpful staff” adds a quality not shown by the table, which reports helpfulness only. Aim for accurate spelling and precise chart language, such as “distance-learning students” and “were very satisfied with staff helpfulness.” This would make the vocabulary more reliable and appropriately formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mixture of simple and more developed sentence forms, and most of the meaning remains clear. There are, however, some grammatical errors in sentence construction and agreement. In the opening, “The chart and table below compares” should be “compare,” because the subject is plural. “Full time undergraduate and post graduate students were mostly using library” needs articles and a more suitable verb form, for example, “Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students made up the largest group of library users.” The phrase “65% percent” is also grammatically redundant, and “students enrolled in distant learning subjects only contribute” shifts tense awkwardly within a past survey description. More consistent tense, accurate agreement, and careful sentence editing would improve control.
