Overall, this pie chart included five different categories. Full time undergraduate category has large numbers of audience compare to previous categories. On the other hand academic staff has lower proportion of people who use library. Therefore, full time postgraduate people are second highest compare all categories of library users.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the largest user group (full-time undergraduates) and the smallest (academic staff), and you note that staff helpfulness receives very strong satisfaction. However, the response only partly reports the visual information: it describes the user categories and satisfaction table as though they were one pie chart, and several comparisons are missing or inaccurate. For example, full-time postgraduates are the second-largest group, but the text does not report their 25% share or the other category figures. The statement that journal satisfaction is “5%” is incorrect; 45% are very satisfied, while 20% are not satisfied. The overview also gives opinions about service quality rather than clearly summarising the main patterns. Select key figures accurately and cover both visuals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has separate paragraphs and uses signposting such as “Overall,” “On the other hand,” and “Moreover,” so there is some attempt to organise the information. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the opening calls the material a pie chart, and the next paragraph shifts from user categories to satisfaction without explaining that the task contains two different sets of data. Several linking words, including repeated “Therefore,” do not show a clear logical relationship between the points. The final paragraph also moves through satisfaction topics without a consistent comparison or grouping. A clearer structure would give an overview of both visuals, then report user categories in one paragraph and satisfaction results in another, using links that accurately express contrast or addition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “proportion,” “availability,” “satisfied,” and “reliability,” which helps communicate the topic. There is also an attempt to vary wording with phrases such as “lower proportion” and “second highest.” However, several choices are imprecise or unnatural for describing survey data: “audience” and “people who use library” are less suitable than “users,” while “happy from library timings” and “not completely comfortable” are awkward. “Final outcomes” does not accurately describe the chart, and “full fill” is incorrectly written as two words. The range is adequate to convey basic points, but repeated general terms and inaccurate collocations limit precision. Use standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “rated,” and “share.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response includes both simple statements and some attempts at longer sentences, for example the sentence beginning “However, half of the books are available…” and the clause about staff providing services. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors occur in basic sentence forms and in the longer constructions. The opening has subject–verb disagreement (“This pie chart illustrate”), and comparisons are formed incorrectly in “compare to previous categories” and “second highest compare all categories.” Articles and plural forms are also inconsistent, as in “use library” and “the availability of journals are.” Punctuation is occasionally faulty, including the space before the full stop after “available.” Aim for accurate, complete sentences first, then build longer comparisons with controlled clauses.
