Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the user categories and the satisfaction table, and the figures you report are generally accurate. You identify full-time undergraduates as the largest group (44%) and academic staff as the smallest (7%), then include the satisfaction results for all five services. Your overview also highlights staff helpfulness as the strongest result and journals as the weakest for very satisfied responses. However, the overview is brief and does not bring out other useful comparisons, such as the 0% dissatisfied ratings for both opening hours and staff helpfulness, or the relatively high dissatisfaction with journals (20%). Some details are presented as a list rather than interpreted, so clearer selection and comparison of the main patterns would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the visuals, describes the user categories, reports satisfaction figures, and ends with an overview. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “Overall” help signal these stages. However, the progression is somewhat mechanical, and the satisfaction section reads mainly as a sequence of figures rather than grouped comparisons. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly “the highest very satisfied 95% the helpfulness of staff,” which makes the intended comparison difficult to follow. Paragraphing and clearer topic sentences could help distinguish the two visuals and organise the satisfaction results into meaningful groups, such as services with no dissatisfaction versus those with higher dissatisfaction.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “Very satisfied,” “Fairly satisfied,” and “Not satisfied,” so the reader can identify the categories being described. However, the range is limited and several phrases are awkward or repetitive, such as “show the percentage” and “the library users satisfaction show.” There are also spelling errors, including “Categorise,” “postgradute,” “farily,” and “lowset,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for more precise reporting verbs and natural collocations, while checking spelling carefully. For example, “accounted for” or “represented” can replace repeated uses of “show,” and “the lowest proportion” is more natural than “the lowset percentage.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response communicates the main figures, but grammatical control is weak and sentence structures are mostly simple or fragmentary. There are some errors in agreement and articles, as in “The chart and the table shows” and “results of survey … at university.” Several clauses lack a clear subject or verb, for example “the Academic staff, Distance learning…” and “the percentage 25%,” while the final overview contains incomplete constructions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sequences such as “45, farily 35,and not satisfied 20.” Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use a consistent pattern such as “X was rated very satisfactory by …% of users.”
