Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart illustrates the distribution of library users across five distinct groups, while the accompanying table demonstrates the users' satisfaction percentage.
Overall, full-time students comprise most amount the library patrons. On the contrary, distance learning and the academic staff use the amenities on the lower side. In addition, the table show highest satisfaction rate for library opening hours and helpfulness of staff, while availabilty of journals and reliability of Wi-Fi have the least satisfaction ratio.
Regarding the users' demographic, full-time undergraduate students contribute the most amount of users (44%) and full-time postgraduate students users are 25%. On the contrary, distance learning and academic staff are the two least users of the library, which are 8% and 7% respectively.
Turning to library services, staff helpfulness earned the highest level of 95% followed by library opening hours, which is 65%. The dissatisfaction rate is highest for journal availability (20%) followed by wi-Fi reliability (19%) while the access to books remains average with satisfaction percentage of 50 and 10% unsatisfied users.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both visuals and identify several important features: undergraduates are the largest group at 44%, staff helpfulness has the highest very-satisfied figure at 95%, and journal availability has the highest dissatisfaction at 20%. The overview also usefully contrasts the strongest and weakest satisfaction results. Some details are less fully reported, however: the user-group comparison omits the 16% part-time postgraduate group, and the satisfaction discussion leaves out the fairly satisfied figures and the 10% dissatisfaction for books is not clearly distinguished from its 50% very-satisfied result. Also, “least satisfaction” is imprecise because wi-fi has 48% very satisfied, slightly above journals at 45%. More complete, precise comparisons would strengthen the summary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for user categories and service satisfaction. This makes the two visuals easy to follow, and transitions such as “Regarding” and “Turning to” signal the shift in focus. The progression is generally logical, but some linking is repetitive: “On the contrary” is used twice where a simple contrast or comparison would be more natural. The final paragraph also moves quickly between satisfaction and dissatisfaction figures, so the relationship between the measures is not always clear. Grouping the satisfaction results more systematically—for example, strongest ratings first, then areas with greater dissatisfaction—would make the comparisons smoother and cohesion less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “distribution,” “demographic,” “dissatisfaction rate,” and “satisfaction percentage.” However, several word choices and collocations are noticeably unnatural or imprecise, which limits clarity: “comprise most amount,” “use the amenities on the lower side,” and “least satisfaction ratio” do not express the comparisons idiomatically. “Demographic” is also not the best label for categories of library users, and “access to books” changes the table’s wording, which concerns availability. There are spelling and form errors in “availabilty” and “wi-Fi.” Aim for standard chart language such as “account for,” “the smallest proportions,” and “very satisfied,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “while” and a relative clause in “library opening hours, which is 65%.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors and awkward constructions are evident. For example, “the table show” has subject–verb disagreement, while “full-time postgraduate students users are 25%” has an unclear noun structure. “Full-time students comprise most amount” also lacks a grammatical, natural comparison structure. In “the access to books remains average with satisfaction percentage of 50,” the article and preposition pattern are not well controlled. Use complete, direct constructions such as “Full-time postgraduates account for 25%” and “50% were very satisfied with book availability.”
