Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both visuals and identify the main pattern: full-time undergraduates form the largest user group, while staff and distance learners are the smallest, and staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction rating. Most figures are reported accurately. However, the overview says users are most pleased with “availability of journals,” which conflicts with the table: helpfulness of staff is highest, while journals have the lowest very-satisfied share and the highest dissatisfaction. There is also a data mix-up in the detail: you give books 50% satisfaction and 10% dissatisfaction, then describe journals as having 45% satisfaction and 20% dissatisfaction. These figures actually belong to journals. A clearer overview and careful matching of each figure to its category would make the report more complete and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to user categories and then satisfaction results. Paragraphing helps distinguish the two sets of information, and transitions such as “Overall,” “Initially,” and “Regarding satisfaction” signal the stages of the report. However, progression is weakened by the contradictory overview and by the final paragraph’s confusing sequence: books are described with figures that belong to journals, followed by another reference to journals and then wi-fi. “Whereas” is also used as a fragment after the overview. Grouping the satisfaction results more systematically—for example, strongest ratings first, then lower ratings—and using clear links between comparisons would improve cohesion and make the information easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “proportion,” “satisfaction,” “dissatisfaction,” and “approval ratings,” and you attempt varied expressions such as “stands out.” However, spelling errors are frequent enough to distract, including “illustres,” “respresented,” “libarary,” “visitied,” and “satisfeid.” Several word choices or collocations are also inaccurate: “more active in terms of using the library” is imprecise for describing the largest user category, and “virtually all users” overstates a figure of 95%. “Lowest approval ratings” is understandable but less precise than describing the lowest satisfaction or highest dissatisfaction. Aim for accurate spelling and standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “share,” and “reported satisfaction.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including “While…” and “Regarding satisfaction…,” but control is uneven. The opening contains an incomplete sentence: “While the respresented satisfied libarary users.” The overview also has a fragment beginning “Whereas,” and several clauses lack necessary grammatical elements, as in “helpfulness staff” and “Distance learning and academi staff both were hold.” Agreement and verb forms need attention: “full time undergraduate are” should use a plural category with a matching verb, while “both were hold” is not a valid construction. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense before submitting.
