Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both visuals and identify the main user group accurately: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, while academic staff are the smallest group at 7%. Your overview also notes the high satisfaction with staff and opening hours, although it incorrectly says users were most satisfied with Wi-Fi; staff helpfulness is highest at 95% very satisfied, compared with 48% for Wi-Fi. The figures for the user categories and most satisfaction rows are reported accurately, and you include useful comparisons. However, the overview could distinguish the strongest and weakest satisfaction results more clearly, and the final figures for books and Wi-Fi are not explicitly matched to each satisfaction category, making them less clear. A more precise summary of the main contrasts would strengthen coverage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction. This gives the reader a generally coherent route through the information. You also use linking expressions such as “Overall,” “followed by,” and “After this” to show relationships. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “On the one hand” is not followed by a contrasting “on the other hand,” and “Eventhough” introduces a clause that does not form a clear contrast. The final sentence lists several percentages without consistently stating which figures are very, fairly or not satisfied. Use clearer grouping and explicit labels, and make each paragraph’s comparisons progress in a deliberate order.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “satisfaction level,” and “availability,” which helps communicate the chart information. There are also attempts at more formal description, such as “dominant user.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “in the second mark,” “highest range of satisfaction,” and “holded” do not express the intended comparisons naturally. Spelling errors such as “satisafaction,” “helpfullness,” and “olny” also reduce control. Prefer precise reporting language such as “the second-largest group,” “the highest level of satisfaction,” and “stood at.” Proofreading spelling and choosing standard collocations would make the vocabulary more reliable and easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a comparison with “while” and a clause beginning “where.” The main information is usually understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “The given piechart have presented” has an incorrect subject–verb construction, while “full-time undergraduates has” shows agreement difficulty. Several sentence fragments or incomplete constructions occur, including “Full-time undergraduate being the dominat user…” and “followed by full-time postgraduate users was the in second mark.” Articles, plurals and punctuation also need attention, as in “opening of library hours” and the crowded final list of figures. Build complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and sentence boundaries; this would improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
