The chart and table illustrates the results of a survey at university to library users and their satisfaction.

Overall, according to the survey four catagories of library users are demonstrated in the chart mostly users are full-time undergraduate and academic staff users takes lowest proportion. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the user-category chart and the satisfaction table, and the main pattern is clear: undergraduates form the largest group (44%), while academic staff are the smallest (7%); staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction result. Most figures are reported accurately. However, the overview says “four categories” although five are shown, and the final comparison misreports the satisfaction data: 35% and 33% are fairly satisfied with journals and wi-fi, not dissatisfied; the dissatisfied figures are 20% and 19%. This error affects an important comparison, and the table’s results could be summarised more clearly by identifying journals as the least positively rated feature. Overall, the response selects relevant information, but some details and the overview are unclear or inaccurate.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction. This gives the reader a generally coherent route through the two visuals. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “In contrast” and “Moreover” help signal movement between points. However, some connections are mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately; “In contrast” does not clearly contrast the satisfaction table with the user categories. The final sentence also combines several figures in a way that makes the comparison difficult to follow, especially the repeated “not satisfied.” Use separate, parallel sentences for journals and wi-fi, and group the satisfaction results by rating or feature to make the progression clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to describe the visuals, including “proportion,” “very satisfied,” “fairly satisfied” and “availability.” These terms make the subject understandable, and you attempt some variation rather than relying only on basic words. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “users takes lowest proportion,” “faculty users,” and “helpfulness staff.” There are also spelling errors in “catagories” and “leraning,” and repeated use of “users” makes the report less precise. Prefer standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “represented” and “respondents,” and check spelling carefully. More accurate phrasing would improve clarity without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including comparisons with “while” and “whereas,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some errors in sentence structure and agreement remain. For example, “The chart and table illustrates” has a plural subject with a singular verb, while “academic staff users takes lowest proportion” has further agreement and sentence-pattern problems. The overview also runs two ideas together after “demonstrated in the chart,” and the final sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure for its list of figures. Articles and prepositions are sometimes missing, as in “at university to library users.” Build each comparison as a complete sentence and check subject–verb agreement and clause boundaries.
