Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main user group accurately (full-time undergraduates, 44%) and the smallest (academic staff, 7%), and your overview also notes the strongest satisfaction result for staff helpfulness. These are relevant headline features, and most figures you report for user categories are correct. However, the comparison that full-time postgraduates use the library at “approximately half ratio” is unclear and inaccurate: their share is 25%, not half of the undergraduate figure. The table discussion also misstates dissatisfaction with journals: 20% are not satisfied, rather than 55%; 55% is the combined share who are very or fairly satisfied. You select useful information, but the satisfaction overview is incomplete and some comparisons need more precise reporting to fully develop the summary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the pie chart and table. This makes the two sources easy to distinguish, and phrases such as “After analysing the pie chart” signal the shift between them. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated openings and frequent “whereas” and “on the other hand” where the relationship is not a contrast. For example, the sentence about distance learners and academic staff would flow more directly as a comparison of their similar shares. Punctuation and capitalisation after linking words are also inconsistent, as in “while the most disappointed” and “on the other hand”. Clearer links between selected figures would make the cohesion less formulaic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “proportions”, “categories”, “satisfied” and “availability”, and the reader can generally understand the comparisons you intend. However, word choice and collocation are often imprecise: “illustrate about the information” and “students of using library” do not express the chart’s subject naturally, while “most impressed” is less suitable than a neutral description of satisfaction. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “availabiliy”, “crystral”, “undergradute” and “statisfaction”. The range is adequate for describing the data, but repeated use of “users” and “satisfied” and inaccurate phrasing limit precision. More standard chart-reporting expressions would improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including contrasts introduced by “whereas” and “on the other hand”, but control is inconsistent. The opening, “The pie chart and table illustrate about the information of students of using library,” has an awkward and incomplete grammatical pattern. Several clauses also lack a clear subject or verb relationship, as in “Whereas, full time postgraduate student use library approximately half ratio” and “the most disappointed with availability of journals.” Agreement and number are not consistently controlled: “categories … shows” and “student use” should be adjusted to match their subjects. Sentence boundaries and capitalisation also need attention. These errors sometimes make relationships difficult to follow, despite the use of both simple and attempted complex structures.
