Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both visuals and include the main user-group figures and most satisfaction percentages. The overview identifies undergraduates as the largest group and notes strong satisfaction with opening hours and staff, which gives the reader a useful summary. However, the overview misreads the overall pattern by saying most users were not satisfied with books, journals and Wi-Fi; in each case, the largest share was very satisfied, while dissatisfaction was a minority. There is also a data-label error: the 45%, 35% and 20% figures refer to journals, but the response labels this row as books again. The response is otherwise relevant and detailed; a more accurate overview and careful checking of category labels would make the reporting more complete and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction figures. This helps separate the two visuals. However, progression is weakened by the overview’s inaccurate summary and by the repeated “Availability of books” label, which makes the final comparisons difficult to follow. Some linking is mechanical, particularly “Moreover” and “whereas,” and the long final paragraph lists figures without clearly grouping related results. There are also missing spaces after full stops, such as “users.Table” and “wifi, availibility,” which interrupt the flow. Group the satisfaction results into clear comparisons and use accurate references such as “the journal figures” to improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “majority,” “followed by,” “fairly satisfied” and “reliability,” and the reader can generally understand the intended comparisons. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable: “satisfation,” “helpfullness,” “availibility,” “contributers” and “satisfy” reduce accuracy and polish. Some expressions are also awkward or imprecise, such as “the highest in all” and “lowest contributers”; “largest group” and “smallest proportions” would be more natural for describing survey categories. Repetition of “users” and “satisfied” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate spelling and use precise collocations for proportions and satisfaction levels; this would strengthen the range already shown without sacrificing clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and several comparisons are understandable, for example, “65% … whereas 35% and 5% were fairly satisfied.” However, errors in sentence structure and agreement occur often enough to make some sentences awkward. “The pie chart illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, while “rest of were” is missing a grammatical subject and determiner. The overview sentence beginning “Table presents” also lacks an article, and the long sentence starting “The sections in which users were very satisfied are…” is not well controlled. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including missing spaces after full stops. Use shorter, complete sentences for the data and check agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
