Student answer (Band 5.5)

The chart clearly explains the multiple library users and their experience with the facilities available there. Now I will distinguish the key differences in multiple facilities provided.

The library is mostly used by the undergraduat students who comes to the university and they cover almost near to the half of rest of the users. Other then those, the institute offers full time, part time as well as distance learning programs for higher education. Those students who were in the university for their higher education in full-time covers the almsot half of strenght compared to the graduate students while the percentage of part-time masters students were less. However the distance learners were half of the numbers of part-time students. The other library users are academic staff which is very minimal in the percentage of the total students.

Furthermore, many of the library attendents were very happy with the timings and coperation of the staff while some are rarely happy with these two services. In addition to that, almost half of the numbers of attendents were happy with the internet service and material including books or journals present in the libraray. Beside that some of them were merely and some were not satisified with these services.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify both parts of the visual and include several relevant figures, such as undergraduates at 44%, full-time postgraduates at 25%, and staff satisfaction at 95%. However, the response only partially reports the main features: it gives no clear overview of the strongest and weakest satisfaction results, and several comparisons are vague or inaccurate. For example, full-time postgraduates do not make up “almost half” compared with graduate students; their share is 25%, while part-time postgraduates account for 16%. The satisfaction section also groups books, journals and Wi-Fi together, missing that opening hours and staff helpfulness received no negative ratings, whereas journals had the highest dissatisfaction at 20%. Select the key contrasts and state them precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: it first discusses user categories and then moves to satisfaction, signalled by “Furthermore.” This gives the reader a general sense of the two topics. However, progression within the paragraphs is not consistently clear, and several linking expressions are repetitive or awkward, including “Other then those,” “In addition to that,” and “Beside that.” Some references are also difficult to follow, such as “these two services” and “these services,” because the specific facilities are not clearly distinguished. Organise the response into a brief overview followed by focused comparisons, and use linking words only where they clarify the relationship between figures.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “percentage,” “distance learners,” “facilities,” and “satisfied,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. For instance, “library attendents” seems to mean users, while “rarely happy” does not accurately describe the satisfaction categories. Phrases such as “cover almost near to the half” and “half of the numbers” are also unnatural. Spelling errors—including “undergraduat,” “strenght,” “libraray,” and “satisified”—further reduce precision. Use standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “share,” and “were very satisfied,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses introduced by “while,” “who,” and “which.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some statements difficult to interpret. For example, “the undergraduat students who comes” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “full-time covers” does not agree with its subject. The sentence beginning “Those students who were in the university…” is also difficult to follow because its clauses are not clearly connected. Practise building accurate comparisons with a clear subject and verb, for example, “Full-time undergraduates accounted for 44% of users, compared with 25% for full-time postgraduates.”
