Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both visuals and identify the main user group, the smallest group, and the strongest satisfaction results. The overview that undergraduates form the largest share and staff helpfulness and opening hours are rated highly is relevant. Most figures are accurate, including the 44%, 7%, 95% and 65% results. You also correctly highlight dissatisfaction with journals and Wi-Fi. This meets the task well, with some features reported more fully than others: for example, the satisfaction figures for journals and Wi-Fi are not given, and the comparison between very and fairly satisfied responses could be clearer. To strengthen the summary further, select the most notable contrasts and report them precisely, such as the 20% dissatisfaction for journals versus 19% for Wi-Fi.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the two visuals. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “On the other hand” help signal the shift between topics, although some transitions feel mechanical or are not quite suited to the relationship between ideas. Several sentences are joined into long sequences with commas, and the repeated opening pattern “In addition to it” and “Similarly” does not always make the comparison explicit. Improve progression by grouping related satisfaction results and using clearer links between them. Consistent spacing after punctuation and more controlled sentence boundaries would also make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “major portion,” “participants,” “dissatisfaction” and “reliability,” so the main information is generally understandable. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward: “tabel,” “satisification,” “contribuated” and “liabrary” are examples. Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “made their contributions by 8%” and “major dissatisfaction.” Prefer direct, precise language for describing proportions and survey results, for example, “accounted for 8%” and “the highest dissatisfaction rates.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating “contributed” when simpler verbs such as “represented” or “made up” are more natural. These improvements would make your vocabulary more accurate and flexible.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “while” and a clause beginning “Although.” The meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors remain. For example, “full time undergraduates are prominent by contributing 44%” has an awkward grammatical construction, while “Distance learning were” has subject–verb disagreement. The sentence beginning “Although” is not properly connected to a main clause, and several comma splices make sentence boundaries unclear. Articles and number forms also need attention in phrases such as “the category of library user” and “very satisfied user.” Practise building complete sentences around comparisons, and check agreement, articles and punctuation when editing. More consistently controlled complex sentences would improve accuracy.
