Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify several relevant figures, including academic staff at 7%, full-time undergraduates at 44%, and staff helpfulness at 95% very satisfied. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the main patterns, and some comparisons are inaccurate: part-time postgraduates are 16%, not 32%, and the claim that book availability is 2% is unsupported by the table. The satisfaction figures are also not consistently identified by category, so the reader cannot tell which rating some numbers refer to. The response is 143 words, below the required 150. To improve, add a concise overview, report the table’s key contrasts accurately, and meet the minimum length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response, moving from user categories to satisfaction results, and linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” signal some relationships. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the opening repeats the task rather than introducing a clear overview, and the second paragraph combines figures without explaining their relationship. The final sentence is especially unclear: “the availability of books are 2% with then wi-fi percent” does not establish a meaningful comparison. Use separate, focused paragraphs for the chart and table, and connect each figure explicitly to its category and satisfaction level.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some task-related vocabulary, including “categories,” “percentage,” “reliability,” and “availability,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions frequently weaken clarity: “universty,” “represets,” “comparsions,” and “the lying down according to full time” are examples. Phrases such as “the most highest” are also not natural English, while “library users satisfaction” is an awkward construction. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language and check spelling carefully. For example, describe a group as “accounted for” a percentage and use “user satisfaction” rather than trying to build a possessive phrase.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “while” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. The opening lacks a clear grammatical structure (“In this chart and table chart shows…”), and several sentences have problems with articles, agreement, or sentence construction. For instance, “the availability of books are 2%” has subject–verb disagreement, and “the part time postgrauate is the lying down according to full time” is not grammatically complete or clear. Punctuation around “while” and “Moreover” also needs attention. Build accurate short sentences first, then combine related information with controlled clauses.
