Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the two visuals and report the broadest pattern accurately: full-time undergraduates are the largest user group, while academic staff are the smallest, and staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction rating. However, the response only partially summarises the data. It gives no figures and overlooks several important comparisons, including the high satisfaction with opening hours and the lower ratings for journals and Wi-Fi. The claim that users are dissatisfied with journal availability is too broad: 20% are not satisfied, but 45% are very satisfied and 35% fairly satisfied. The comments that students are “strict to their studies” and that the results show “quality of study” are unsupported interpretations. Focus on the main numerical patterns and avoid conclusions the visuals cannot establish.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to move from the pie chart to the table, and phrases such as “The table show” signal a change of focus. However, the ideas do not develop in a clear sequence: the response moves from user categories to satisfaction, then to unsupported claims about study habits and quality. The opening, “There are two simulation,” does not clearly introduce the visuals, and several sentences begin repeatedly with “The” or “The result.” Linking words such as “and” are sometimes used to join ideas that need clearer separation. Organise the response into a brief overview followed by a paragraph on user categories and one on satisfaction, using comparisons to connect related figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to identify the main subjects, with terms such as “full-time undergraduate,” “availability,” and “satisfied” helping convey the topic. However, the range is limited and some word choices or combinations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the report unclear. For example, “two simulation” does not describe the visuals, and “the minimum user” is an awkward way to refer to the smallest group. “Strict to their studies” and “quality of study” are also imprecise and do not express information shown in the chart. Spelling errors, including “acadamic,” “Acoording,” and “studend,” are noticeable. Use standard chart-reporting language and practise accurate spelling of key terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to combine ideas using clauses, for example, “because the percentage of studend in the library is greater than staff and others,” but sentence structures are often faulty and the range remains limited. Subject–verb agreement errors recur: “There are two” is followed by the incorrect noun form, and “the below table show” should use a singular verb. Other examples include “the people is” and “the studend and staff is.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “the minimum user are acadamic staff. and the below table.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add comparisons with controlled clauses and check agreement and punctuation.
