Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify several relevant satisfaction results, including staff helpfulness as the strongest area, opening hours at 65% very satisfied, and wi-fi reliability at 19% not satisfied. However, the response only partially summarises the visuals: it omits the user-category chart entirely and gives little systematic comparison across the five service areas. Some figures are also misinterpreted. For example, 35% were fairly satisfied with opening hours, not simply “satisfied,” and the 50% very satisfied with book availability is not reported. The overview that “most of the users are satisfied” is broad and does not capture the contrast between staff helpfulness and weaker journal and wi-fi ratings. Include both visuals and select the clearest highs, lows, and comparisons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence, moving from staff and books to other service ratings, and phrases such as “Furthermore” and “moreover” attempt to connect points. However, the two-part structure signalled by “On the first hand” and “On the second hand” does not create a clear progression, and the same information is repeated: staff satisfaction and wi-fi satisfaction appear more than once. Several ideas run together, making comparisons difficult to follow. Organise the report into a brief overview followed by focused paragraphs—for example, one on user categories and one comparing satisfaction results. Use linking expressions only where they show a genuine relationship between the figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “percent,” “satisfied,” “availability,” and “reliability,” so the main topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several repeated or inaccurate expressions make the report less clear, such as “statisfiction,” “helpfull behaviour,” and “unavailability of books.” The latter changes the meaning: the table reports satisfaction with availability, not that books are unavailable. Spelling errors such as “relaibility” and “staisfied” are noticeable, while phrases like “a less ratio” are not natural in this context. Build a more precise set of chart-reporting terms, including “very satisfied,” “fairly satisfied,” “not satisfied,” and “accounted for.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentences, including a clause joined with “while” and a sentence beginning “Furthermore,” but control is inconsistent and the range remains limited. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation are frequent: for example, “behaviour.the users” needs a space and a clear sentence break, while several sentences begin with lowercase letters. There are also problems with articles and agreement in “a library users” and “35 percent of its user are fairly satisfied.” Some sentence patterns are difficult to process because clauses are joined without clear punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled comparisons using “whereas” or “compared with,” checking articles, plural forms, and subject–verb agreement.
