Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main user group correctly: full-time undergraduates account for the largest share at 44%, while academic staff are the smallest at 7%. You also report most satisfaction figures accurately, including the high rating for staff helpfulness and the results for journals and Wi-Fi. However, the overview is unclear when it describes journals as the “lowest rate of library access satisfaction”; the table shows that journals have the highest dissatisfaction, but not the lowest very-satisfied score, which is for journals at 45% compared with books at 50%. Availability of books is then omitted, and the overview does not clearly summarise the strongest satisfaction result. Select and compare these key features more precisely, and distinguish user categories from satisfaction ratings.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction and overview are followed by user-category figures and then satisfaction data. Sequencing is generally understandable, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” help signal additions. However, the progression becomes less clear in the final paragraph, where staff helpfulness, opening hours, journals and Wi-Fi are crowded together. The phrase “helpfulness of staff whether…” makes the relationship between the two percentages difficult to follow, while “In addition” does not clearly identify the opening-hours category. Group the satisfaction results into clearer comparisons, and use references such as “For opening hours” or “By contrast” so readers can follow which figures belong to each feature.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “distance learning,” “very satisfied” and “reliability of wi-fi,” so the main subject is usually identifiable. There is also some attempt to vary wording with “learners,” “readers” and “users.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “numbers of a students library access,” “higher school” and “rate of library access satisfaction.” “Library user satisfaction” or “proportion of users” would express the data more precisely. Spelling errors such as “librabry” and inconsistent phrasing also reduce control. Aim for accurate, consistent terms rather than substituting several labels for the same group, and use collocations such as “users were satisfied with” a service.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with linking words, and the reader can generally recover the intended comparisons. However, grammatical control is uneven. The opening sentence has faulty agreement and article use in “The pie chart and table graph represents the numbers of a students,” and “7% academic staff users uses library” combines an incorrect verb form with unclear sentence structure. Several clauses are joined with commas or “while” without a clear grammatical relationship, particularly in the final sentence. Work on subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, and build each comparison as a complete sentence—for example, “Staff helpfulness received 95% very satisfied and 5% fairly satisfied.” More accurate sentence boundaries would make your range easier to understand.
