Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the user categories and satisfaction results, and identify two important features: undergraduates form the largest group (44%), while academic staff are the smallest (7%). You also report several satisfaction figures accurately, including staff helpfulness (95%) and opening hours (65%). However, some comparisons are unclear or inaccurate: “Full-time postgraduate students are less as compared to undergradute and greater than the part-time postgraduate that is 25%” assigns 25% to the wrong group; 25% is full-time postgraduate, while part-time postgraduate is 16%. The overview also repeats the user-category point rather than summarising the overall satisfaction pattern. To strengthen the response, compare the high ratings for staff and opening hours with the more mixed ratings for books, journals and wi-fi, and state the relevant figures clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about user categories, a paragraph on satisfaction, and a concluding overview. This gives the reader a basic route through both visuals. Some linking is effective, as in “On the other hand,” but connections are occasionally mechanical or unclear. For example, “Full-time postgraduate students are less as compared to undergradute and greater than the part-time postgraduate that is 25%” makes the comparison difficult to follow, and the repeated “Overall” point adds little to the earlier overview. Group related figures more systematically and use clear comparisons, such as contrasting the two highest satisfaction ratings with the lower ratings for journals and wi-fi. This would make the progression more logical and reduce repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “accounted for,” “overall,” “satisfied,” and “availability,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated use of “users,” “members,” and “satisfied,” and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions. “Library stuff” is unsuitable for an academic report, while “much not satisfied from” and “major portion” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “reults,” “acedemic,” “postgradute,” and “availibity” are also noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for precise terms such as “respondents,” “very satisfied,” and “dissatisfied with,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and most of the information remains understandable. However, some errors in agreement, sentence construction, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “Full-time undergraduate cover for the largest portion” needs a plural subject and a more suitable verb, while “Full-time undergraduate are the major portion” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “Distance learning members are 8% while part-time postgraduate are are only 16%,” the repeated verb and missing plural noun form make the sentence awkward. The comparison sentence about postgraduate groups is also structurally unclear. Practise building accurate comparison patterns, such as “X accounted for…, compared with…” and “The proportion who were dissatisfied was…”.
