Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both visuals and provide a clear overview, identifying undergraduates as the largest user group and staff helpfulness as the strongest satisfaction result. Most figures are reported accurately, including the 44%, 25%, 16%, 8% and 7% user shares. This detailed coverage meets the task well, with some of the comparison and selection expected at a stronger level. However, the overview says journals received the lowest satisfaction, although the lowest “very satisfied” figure is for journals while wi-fi is close at 48%; it would be clearer to specify the measure. There is also a significant table-reading error: 48% refers to very satisfied with wi-fi, not books or journals. Distinguish the three satisfaction columns consistently and make the overview more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the chart and table. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the information. However, progression within the final paragraph is less controlled. For example, “In fariness” introduces a new comparison unclearly, and the sequence of figures for fairly satisfied and not satisfied is difficult to follow. Some linking words, such as “Whereas” and “While,” are used as sentence openings without a complete, well-connected sentence, while “and” begins another sentence in lowercase. Grouping the table results by satisfaction level or by feature, and using clearer references to each category, would make the comparisons easier to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “categories,” “availability,” and “reliability,” and terms such as “full-time undergraduates” help identify the chart groups. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “a library used by different categories students” and “review of the library on satisfication base” do not express the intended meaning naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “satisfication,” “farily,” “availabiltity,” and “un sastisfied.” Use standard chart language such as “share of library users” and “satisfaction with library services,” and check spelling carefully. More accurate phrasing would make your otherwise relevant vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex forms, including comparisons and subordinate clauses, as in “followed by full-time postgraduate scholars” and “While distance learning and academic staff uses…”. The meaning is generally recoverable, but some errors in sentence structure and agreement reduce accuracy. For example, “different categories students” needs a grammatical link, and “academic staff uses” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several clauses beginning with “Whereas” or “While” are left as fragments, and the final paragraph contains a run-on sequence of ideas. Aim to form complete sentences, check singular and plural subjects, and use punctuation to separate comparisons. This would improve control while retaining your attempts at varied structures.
