Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart illustrates information about the categories of library user, while table provides information about feedback of user about library facilities collected during a survey at a university.
On one hand, the highest area of pie chart is covered by full-time undergrduates(44%), while academic staff cover least portion about 7%. Moreover, distance learners were roughly, one third of full-time postgraduates, part-time postgraduates covered approximatly double percentage than academic staff.
On other hand, the helpfull staff collected the highest percentage of satisfied reviews by users 95%, while the lowest percentage is showed by journals 45%. In contrast, the dis satisfication showed highest for journals, while library opening hours and cooperative staff not stand for dis-satisfied, Further more, fairly satisfied review is highest for books availability 40% and lowest for helpfull staff 5%.
Overall, full-time undergraduates covered 44% highest of categories, while satisfication showed more satisfication for every facility than other feedbacks about facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both visuals and identify several important features: full-time undergraduates are the largest user group (44%), academic staff the smallest (7%), and staff helpfulness receives the highest very-satisfied rating (95%). You also note that journals have the highest dissatisfaction and that opening hours have none. These comparisons are relevant and mostly accurate. However, the overview is repetitive and does not clearly summarise the main pattern across the satisfaction table; for example, it could state that very satisfied responses are the largest category for every facility. Some details are unclear or imprecise, such as saying distance learners were “one third” of full-time postgraduates, when the figures are 8% and 25%. Develop the overview and report comparisons more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, discussion of the user categories, discussion of satisfaction, and a concluding overview. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the two visuals. You also use linking expressions such as “while,” “Moreover,” and “In contrast” to connect comparisons. However, the organisation is sometimes mechanical, particularly with the repeated “On one hand” and “On other hand,” and the final overview repeats information already given rather than synthesising it. Some relationships are difficult to follow in the long sentence beginning “In contrast,” where several satisfaction findings are joined together. Use clearer paragraphing and shorter, more logically grouped comparisons, with references that make each facility and rating category explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing charts, including “categories,” “percentage,” “satisfied,” and “dissatisfaction,” and you attempt a range of comparative expressions such as “highest,” “lowest,” and “double.” This is enough to communicate the main subject and several comparisons. However, inaccurate word choice and collocation sometimes make the description awkward or unclear: “highest area of pie chart is covered by” and “collected the highest percentage of satisfied reviews” are not natural ways to report these figures. There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “undergrduates,” “approximatly,” “helpfull,” and “dis satisfication.” Build a more precise set of chart-reporting phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, use “accounted for” or “received” rather than “covered” or “collected.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses linked with “while” and “although”-type contrasts, and the main comparisons can generally be understood. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, especially with articles, sentence structure, and agreement. Examples include “while table provides” (missing an article), “academic staff cover least portion” (an incomplete comparative construction), and “the lowest percentage is showed” (incorrect passive form). The sentence beginning “In contrast, the dis satisfication showed highest…” also contains unclear clause structure and punctuation, making the relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate article use and passive forms, and divide long sentences into shorter units. More consistently accurate sentences would make your range of structures clearer.
