Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main user groups and correctly report that full-time undergraduates form the largest group (44%), followed by full-time postgraduates (25%), while academic staff are the smallest (7%). This gives the response some relevant coverage of both visuals. However, the overview is incomplete and the table is substantially misreported: the figures of 70%, 20% and 10% are not overall satisfaction totals, and the table shows different results for each facility. For example, staff helpfulness has 95% very satisfied, while opening hours has 65%; journals and Wi-Fi receive comparatively lower satisfaction. The final sentence repeats a general point rather than summarising these contrasts. Select the most important table comparisons and report them accurately to develop the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has separate paragraphs for the user categories and satisfaction table, so the reader can recognise the two parts of the task. It also attempts an overview with “Over all” and a concluding phrase. However, the progression is limited: the final paragraph repeats the idea of satisfaction without adding a clear summary, and the table paragraph groups all facilities together without explaining their differing results. Some linking expressions, such as “as part from that” and “As summarise this,” are unclear or do not connect ideas naturally. Organise the response into a clear introduction, an overview of the main contrasts, and focused detail paragraphs. Use straightforward links such as “By contrast” or “Regarding satisfaction” to show how each point relates.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “categories,” “percentage,” “satisfied,” “opening hours,” and “availability,” and you attempt to describe comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow, such as “users are satisfy,” “highly percentage,” and “users which are very satisfied with this library provided.” Spelling errors are also frequent, including “libraray,” “avalibility,” and “featues,” which reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “the largest proportion of users” and “were very satisfied with the facilities.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating “users” and “satisfied” when more precise wording is available.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response relies mainly on simple statements and shows limited control when attempting longer structures. Errors occur in basic sentence patterns, for example, “The chart and table illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “users are satisfy” uses an incorrect verb form. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “in the university of libraray,” and the final sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related information with controlled clauses. For example: “Full-time undergraduates made up 44% of users, whereas academic staff accounted for 7%.” Check agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
