Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both parts of the visual and identify the main user group and the smallest group, while reporting several satisfaction figures accurately. The overview that undergraduates form the largest category and academic staff the smallest is relevant. However, there is a factual repetition: after saying full-time undergraduates account for nearly half, you write, “It is followed by full time undergraduate with 25%”; this should refer to full-time postgraduate users. The satisfaction summary is also less complete: you give only “nearly half” for Wi-Fi and omit the fairly/not-satisfied figures, and you do not report the 35% fairly satisfied with journals. A clearer overview comparing the strongest and weakest satisfaction results would make the key features more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the two visuals, discusses user categories, and then moves to satisfaction. Paragraphing helps distinguish these topics, and phrases such as “It is followed by” and “whereas” show attempts to connect comparisons. Some cohesion is mechanical or unclear, however. “Going through the reviews” is an awkward transition, and “It is followed by full time undergraduate with 25%” makes the sequence difficult to follow because the category is repeated incorrectly. The satisfaction details are presented largely as a list, with limited grouping or comparison across the five measures. Use a concise overview and organise the table by strongest and weakest satisfaction, while ensuring pronouns and category references are unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main information, including “categories,” “percentage,” “availability,” and “satisfied.” There are also attempts to vary expression, such as “contributed by” and “Going through the reviews,” but some choices are unnatural or imprecise for describing survey data. “Maximum usage” suggests a measure of usage rather than the largest user category, while “very less” and “least one” are not idiomatic. Spelling errors such as “acadamic,” “helpfullness,” and “ver” reduce accuracy. Aim for precise chart language and check spelling; terms such as “accounted for,” “proportion,” and “respondents” would suit this report more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and the meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement and sentence construction. For example, “Categories of library users is described” needs plural agreement, and “65% of the users is very satisfied” should use a plural verb. The construction “Users were very much satisfied with the helpfulness of staff is 95%” combines two sentence patterns and is difficult to control; write, for example, “95% of users were very satisfied with the helpfulness of staff.” There are also inconsistent article and plural forms in phrases such as “the full time undergraduate.” More accurate agreement and complete sentence patterns would improve clarity.
